Registration

Registration for 2023-2024 has closed. Registration for 2024-2025 will begin in early spring. Please monitor the parish website, bulletin, and Facebook page for details in the future. If you have any questions regarding registration, please call the Religious Education Office at 631-665-4914.

Class Schedules

We are pleased to be able to offer an option of day/time for most levels. Class schedules for 2023-2024 will be posted in late August.

Eucharist 1

Students in this level learn about the ways the God has shown his love for us. They will also celebrate their faith through prayer, participation in Mass, and honoring the saints. This level consists of a blended program of at-home asynchronous remote learning via Google Classroom and parish Family Sessions. At each Family Session, parent and child can explore, discuss, and celebrate together the importance of faith in their lives.

Family Sessions are held on Saturdays from 10:30-11:30aM – FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND TWO FAMILY SESSIONS.


Eucharist 2

Students in this level continue to work on learning their prayers, better understanding the Sacrifice of the Mass, and directly prepare to receive the Sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation.

*If you have a special needs student – the Eucharist 2 Special Needs Class follows the Wednesday Session Schedule.

Sunday Option
Level 3, Level 4, Level 5

Classes are held:
Sunday from 8:30Am-10:30AM
Includes Attending 9:30AM Family Mass as part of Class

Students in these levels have a spiral approach to catechesis that goes deeper into faith concepts at each grade level in developmentally appropriate ways. The program is built on the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (creed, sacraments, morality, and prayer), rooted in Tradition and Scripture.

Students in this level will also attend the 9:30am Family Mass in Msgr. Purick Hall serving in a variety of ministries as altar servers, ushers, lectors, choir members, and shepherds.


Level 3 – Level 5

Confirmation 1

Students in this level begin their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Preparation for the Sacrament is 2½ years. As they begin this first step toward preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, they will develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the teachings of their Catholic faith. They will continue to discover the importance of their witness to the love found in the salvation of Jesus Christ.

Weekly Lessons are completed remotely through the Christ in Us Portal

Confirmation 2

Students in this level continue their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. They will review the Sacraments, the 10 Commandments, the Creed, the Trinity, and other concepts important to our faith. They will also begin to examine the lives of the saints and see how these holy men and women can help throughout our faith journey.

Confirmation 3

Students in this level enter into the final preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation by focusing on the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit given to us at Confirmation. Students are actively engaged in maturing their faith from the head to the heart.

Wednesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm


Special Needs

Students in this group prepare for the Sacraments by studying and praying in a small group setting which is more hands on and tailored for the needs of the students. If you would like to place your student in the Special Needs Program, please contact the Religious Education Office at 631-665-4914.


Older Sacrament Preparation

Classes are held:
Saturday from 9:00am-10:00am

Students in this level are in Grades 5-8 in school who, for some reason, have missed receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion at the usual time.


High School Sacrament Preparation

Students in this level are in Grades 9-11 in school who, for some reason, have missed receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion at the usual time.
